How do the leaderboards work?

Three different ways to see who's opening: by votes, by support, and by domain strength.

Updated

We run three leaderboards so you can browse new launches the way that suits you.

Voted by the community

Our Community leaderboard ranks every listing by votes alone. It's pure shopfront appeal—the launches that people are most excited about float to the top. Votes cannot be bought. This is where you'll spot what's genuinely catching attention on the street.

Paid rankings

Our Billboard leaderboard is different. Businesses can contribute $5 or more to boost their listing here. We make it clear which rankings are paid, so you always know what you're looking at. It's a fair way for shops to get a steady spot if they want one.

Domain strength

If you're curious about web authority, our Domain Rating leaderboard sorts listings by their Ahrefs Domain Rating. You'll see whether each one is trending up or down, plus the dates we checked and when things changed. Useful if you're watching how established a business's online presence is.

Launch of the Week

Every Monday to Sunday (UTC), we award Launch of the Week badges to the top 3 listings by votes. These winners are chosen automatically when the week closes, and we email them the news. It's our way of putting the spotlight on what the community loves.

Questions people ask

Can I pay to get higher on the Community leaderboard?
No. The Community leaderboard is ranked by votes only, and votes cannot be bought. If you'd like a paid ranking, that's our Billboard leaderboard.
When are Launch of the Week badges awarded?
They're awarded automatically at the end of each week (Sunday night, UTC). We email the 3 winners to let them know.
What does the Domain Rating leaderboard show?
It ranks listings by their Ahrefs Domain Rating and shows you whether that's trending up or down. You can see when we last checked and when the trend changed.
